Moon River (ver 3)

原调

Moon River
by Henry Mancini (music) and Johnny Mercer (lyrics)
(from the film, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”)

Capo II or as desired; this is written to be easy to play on the guitar. I read somewhere
that Miss Hepburn sang it in F, but I don't know if that is correct. Not in the original key,
which is much higher.
The vertical lines indicate bars.
3/4 time

[Verse 1]

|G |Em |C |G |
Moon River, wider than a mile, I'm

 dream-maker, you heartbreaker, Wher-

[Verse 2]

|G |Em |C |G |
Two drifters, off to see the world; there's

such a lot of world to see. We're
|Em |Em/D |Em/C# |C |Bm7 |
af - ter the same rainbow's end,
|C |G |
   waiting ’round the bend —
|C |G |
   my huckleberry friend,

 Moon River, and me.
