Hi guys, I'm a huge fan of Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel (I'm going to see them in 2 weeks on tour :D) So
I'm going to post a tab below of this classic, big credit goes to 'mulletman500' for discovering this tab at
www.geocities.com/sunsetstrip/Backstage/3020/Rebeltab.html. which is no longer available but still big credit
goes to him for noticing this, I'm just posting it here so it is a little easier noticed, whilst at the same
time adding lyrics, and chords to make it better, thanks.

E G#
Man, it was mean to be seen, in the robes you wore for Lent
                                E
You should've known that it was Easter
E G#
There for a while, in your smile, I could see Mexico blood
                         E
say this is true I was a teaser

B Bb
There were a thousand Manitas, being exchanged for Pesetas
E B G#7 C#m
Man, it was hard not to laugh out loud
                                   G#
I couldn't believe the size of the crowd
                               E
You must have fooled them into coming

E B G#7 C#m
Wow, there were women and children too
                                  G#
They would have hanged us if they knew

I think I know for certain
A
Inside you sniggered so hearty, you only came for the party

E B Am F G F E
Man, it was mean, it was mean, Man, it was mean

E G#
Remember the time, oh what a time, we had down in Barcelona
                         E
After you'd been slaying babies
                                        G#
There, for a time, I was fooled by your disguises,
                                E
But I never thought of smashing rules

B Bb
You wore the yellow bandana and gave out heavenly manner
E B G#7 C#m
Then in Amsterdam you were perfect fun
                                G#
You never let on that you had a gun
                               E
And then you shot that Spanish Dancer

E B G#7 C#m
The speed at which we ran for a mile or two,
                                     G#
They would have crucified us if they knew

I think I know for certain
A
Inside you sniggered so hearty, we only killed for the party

E B Am F G F E
Man, it was mean, it was mean, man, it was mean

B Bb
Man, show me something I've never seen,
E B G#7 C#m
You're only real in your dream machine
                                G#
And all your games are a little drastic

E B G#7 C#m
Just throw me out if I get obscene
                               G#
But that's the way I've always been
I think I know for certain
A
Inside you sniggered so hearty, we're only living a party

E B Am F G F E
Man, it was mean, it was mean, man, it was mean
