Song: Concentric
Band: The Swell Season
Tabbed by: Jon Ransom
Hello there fans of Glen Hansard / The Frames / The Swell Season (whatever name they go by they're
always amazing). This is a fantastic non-album song which I first heard from watching The Swell
Season: Live from the Artist's Den DVD and it completely slayed me. It's got all the staples: it's
simple, it's hauntingly beautiful, and anyone with a true soul can sing it. And
that's why I put this
together, so that someone can play it for themselves to hear its beauty. More clever people than
me have figured out the proper chords but here I am putting chords and words together. I hope
you enjoy learning this gem as much as I did. As usual, sing with conviction and there are no
wrong notes! Cheers & Gra Mor!

Lost and gone and concentric
and the hours grow long
is there something I can help you with?
or is it easier alone?
Em Emadd9 D Asus4 A
it's always easier to bury it, to cover it in snow
it's always easier to measure it, to cover it and go
D F#m Gadd2
and the work is gonna pay for it
and the heart will grow
it isn't always gonna end up like this
I just hope that you will know
Em Emadd9 D Asus4 A
it's always easier to bury it, to cover it in snow
it's always easier to measure it, to cover it and go
Em Emadd9 D Asus4 A x8
Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah... (repeat as many times as you wish)
*Glen throws in a tease of his song "Bad Bone" towards the end - "There's a bad
bone inside of me..."
